DFC 3-CORE FOUNDATION

DFC’s 3-Core Foundation guides players from beginner to elite levels through three distinct stages of development.

1. PRE-GAME

AGES 1-3

Between ages 1-3, football coaching aims to develop basic motor skills and introduce children to the game through fun activities that enhance coordination, balance, and agility. The focus is on fostering a love for physical activity, building confidence, and encouraging teamwork in a playful environment.

AGES 4-6

At ages 4-6, football coaching emphasizes fun and basic skill development, including coordination, balance, dribbling, passing, and understanding game rules. The focus is on fostering enjoyment, teamwork, confidence, and social skills through playful activities suited for young children.

3. PROGRESSION

AGES 6-13

For children aged 6-12, advanced football skills taught in coaching include dribbling, accurate passing and receiving, various shooting techniques, improved ball control, tactical understanding, defensive skills, and set-piece execution. These skills help young players strengthen their technical abilities, boost confidence, and prepare for higher levels of play.
